Used to warn other road users that a combination is operating as a Road Train, an extended multi trailer combination that needs more distance to overtake, brake, and turn than a standard vehicle. Required for combinations over 30 metres, or operating under an NHVR Restricted Access Vehicle (RAV) permit.
- Meets: NHVR Vehicle Standards Guide 19 (VSG-19), under the Heavy Vehicle National Law
- Reflective sheeting: Class 400 (formerly Class 1) to AS/NZS 1906
- Lettering: black Series B(N) capitals to AS 1744, minimum 180mm high
- Fitted: on the front of the prime mover and the rear of the last trailer in the combination, so the combination is identifiable from both directions
