Terms of service
1. WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1.1 About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the Roadranger websites, including roadranger.au and roadranger.com.au, and the purchase of products or services from Roadranger. By accessing our website, creating an account, submitting an order, approving artwork or purchasing a product or service from Roadranger, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Where you purchase on behalf of a company, organisation or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, condition, warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

1.3 Products
Roadranger supplies signage products and related products and services. Products may include standard products, stocked items, manufactured products, printed products, personalised products, customised signs, made-to-order products and products manufactured to dimensions, specifications, designs or artwork supplied or approved by a customer. The availability, specifications, dimensions, materials, finishes, colours and other characteristics of products will be as stated on the relevant product page, quotation, order confirmation or approved artwork, subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
1.4 Product Information
Roadranger takes reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, specifications and pricing are accurate. Images displayed on a screen are illustrative. Colour appearance can vary between screens, devices, print processes, substrates, inks, coatings and production runs. A reasonable variation in colour, finish, material texture, dimensions or appearance arising from normal manufacturing or printing processes will not itself constitute a defect, provided the product remains materially consistent with the agreed specification. Where a particular colour, standard, specification, performance criterion or regulatory requirement is critical, the customer must advise Roadranger before placing the order.
1.5 Australian Standards and Regulatory Requirements
Products must not be assumed to comply with a particular Australian Standard, road authority specification, engineering requirement, building requirement, council requirement or other regulatory specification unless the applicable product description, quotation or written confirmation from Roadranger expressly states that it does. Customers are responsible for determining whether a product is suitable and legally permissible for their intended location and application unless Roadranger has expressly agreed in writing to provide that advice as part of the supply. Nothing in this clause limits any statutory guarantee that a product be fit for a purpose that the customer expressly made known to Roadranger and for which the customer relied on Roadranger's skill or judgment where such guarantee applies by law.
1.6 Orders
An order submitted through the website is an offer by the customer to purchase the relevant products. An automated order acknowledgement confirms that Roadranger has received the order. It does not necessarily mean that Roadranger has accepted the order for manufacture or supply. An order is accepted when Roadranger confirms acceptance, commences production or dispatches the relevant products, whichever occurs first. Roadranger may decline an order before acceptance where there is a genuine reason to do so, including product unavailability, an obvious pricing or website error, an inability to manufacture the requested product, suspected fraud, unlawful or inappropriate content, or an inability to safely or lawfully fulfil the order. If Roadranger declines an order after payment has been received and no goods or services have been supplied, Roadranger will refund the applicable amount paid.
1.7 Pricing and GST
Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices displayed to consumers on the Roadranger website are in Australian dollars and include GST where GST is applicable. Delivery, freight, installation, design, artwork alteration and other charges may be additional where clearly disclosed before the customer completes the purchase. The total amount payable will be displayed or otherwise communicated before the order is submitted. If a genuine and obvious pricing error occurs, Roadranger may contact the customer before fulfilling the order and offer the customer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling the affected item for a full refund.
1.8 Payment
Payment must be made using a payment method available through the Roadranger checkout or otherwise agreed by Roadranger. Orders may not enter production or be dispatched until required payment has been received or approved payment terms have been established. Roadranger may use Shopify and third-party payment processors to process payments. Roadranger does not generally receive or retain complete payment-card details where those details are processed directly by an authorised payment gateway.
1.9 Fraud and Payment Verification
Roadranger may undertake reasonable verification procedures before accepting or dispatching an order where fraud, unauthorised payment or identity misuse is reasonably suspected. Roadranger may temporarily hold an affected order while reasonable verification occurs.
1.10 Custom and Made-to-Order Products
Many Roadranger products are manufactured, printed, cut, finished or otherwise produced specifically for a customer's order. Once production of a customised or made-to-order product has commenced, the customer does not have a contractual right to cancel the order merely because the customer has changed their mind. A request to cancel may nevertheless be considered by Roadranger. If Roadranger agrees to a customer-requested cancellation that is not caused by a breach by Roadranger or a right available under law, Roadranger may deduct reasonable costs already and irreversibly incurred in performing the order, provided those costs are reasonable in the circumstances. This provision does not limit rights or remedies arising under the Australian Consumer Law.
1.11 Artwork Supplied by Customers
Where a customer supplies artwork, logos, photographs, text, trademarks, designs or other material, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the material is accurate and that the customer has the legal right to reproduce and use it. Roadranger may refuse to reproduce material that it reasonably believes is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, offensive or infringes another person's intellectual property rights. The customer remains responsible for errors contained in customer-supplied artwork unless Roadranger has expressly agreed to provide proofreading, design or verification services covering the relevant error.
1.12 Artwork Created by Roadranger
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, intellectual property that existed before an order remains the property of its existing owner. Payment for a finished sign or printed product does not automatically transfer ownership of Roadranger's underlying production methods, templates, software, systems, working files, production files or other pre-existing intellectual property. Where Roadranger creates bespoke artwork specifically for a customer and the parties agree that the customer will own that artwork, ownership will transfer only to the extent stated in that agreement and after payment of all applicable charges.
1.13 Proofs and Customer Approval
Where Roadranger provides a proof for approval, the customer must carefully check all relevant details before approving production. This includes spelling, grammar, telephone numbers, web addresses, colours, dimensions, quantities, layout, logos, positioning and other content. Approval of a proof authorises Roadranger to manufacture the product substantially in accordance with the approved proof. If a product is manufactured correctly in accordance with an approved proof but contains an error that appeared in that approved proof, Roadranger may charge for reproduction or replacement. This does not apply where the finished product materially differs from the approved proof because of an error by Roadranger or where the customer otherwise has a remedy under law.
1.14 Customer Measurements and Specifications
Where production is based on dimensions, measurements or specifications supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for their accuracy. Roadranger is not responsible for a product failing to fit an intended location solely because customer-supplied measurements were incorrect. Where Roadranger itself performs a site measure or expressly accepts responsibility for measurements, Roadranger remains responsible for that work in accordance with applicable law.
1.15 Changes After Approval
Changes requested after artwork approval or after production has commenced may result in additional charges and may affect delivery dates. Roadranger will advise the customer where a requested change materially affects the price or anticipated timing before proceeding with that change where reasonably practicable.
1.16 Installation
Unless installation is expressly included in the customer's order, Roadranger supplies products on a supply-only basis. Customers are responsible for ensuring products are installed safely, appropriately and in accordance with applicable laws, manufacturer requirements and site conditions. Where Roadranger provides installation services, those services will be performed with the level of care and skill required by applicable law. Roadranger is not responsible for damage caused solely by improper installation, misuse, unauthorised modification or unsuitable installation by a customer or an unrelated third party.
1.17 Permits and Approvals
Unless Roadranger expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for obtaining any council approval, landlord approval, engineering certification, development approval, road authority approval, electrical approval or other permission required for the customer's intended use or installation of a product.
1.18 Production and Dispatch Times
Production and dispatch periods displayed on the website are estimates unless Roadranger expressly agrees in writing to a guaranteed date. Roadranger will use reasonable efforts to manufacture and dispatch orders within stated timeframes. Production timing may be affected by artwork approval, customer-requested changes, material availability, order volumes, machinery availability, freight interruptions and circumstances outside Roadranger's reasonable control. Nothing in this clause removes any right a customer may have where products are not supplied within an agreed time or, where no time is agreed, within the period required by applicable law.
1.19 Delivery
Roadranger may deliver using third-party freight and courier providers. Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Any additional cost reasonably incurred because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, failed to accept delivery or requested redelivery may be charged to the customer where permitted by law. Delivery dates and transit times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.
1.20 Authority to Leave
Where the customer selects or authorises an authority-to-leave service, the carrier may leave the goods at the nominated location without obtaining a signature. The customer should nominate a location that is reasonably safe and protected. Nothing in an authority-to-leave arrangement limits Roadranger's responsibility where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
1.21 Freight Damage
Customers should inspect delivered products as soon as reasonably practicable. If a product appears damaged in transit, customers should photograph the packaging and product and contact Roadranger promptly. Prompt notice assists Roadranger in investigating the matter with the carrier but does not remove or shorten any statutory right the customer may have.
1.22 Title
Ownership of products passes to the customer once Roadranger has received full payment for those products, subject to any rights that arise under applicable law.
1.23 Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees
Returns, refunds, repairs and replacements are governed by the Roadranger Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees Policy forming part of these Terms. Roadranger does not provide change-of-mind refunds or exchanges unless Roadranger expressly agrees otherwise. This does not affect any entitlement to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, compensation or other remedy arising under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.
1.24 Warranties
Products and services supplied by Roadranger carry the consumer guarantees and other rights required by applicable law. Unless a separate written warranty is expressly provided for a particular product, Roadranger does not create an additional voluntary warranty period that limits or replaces statutory rights. Any manufacturer's warranty offered with a product operates in addition to applicable statutory rights.
1.25 Customer Accounts
Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity carried out using their account, except to the extent that activity results from an act or omission of Roadranger. Customers should notify Roadranger promptly if they believe an account has been accessed without authority.
1.26 Website Availability
Roadranger may maintain, update, modify or temporarily suspend parts of the website where reasonably required for maintenance, security, upgrades or operational purposes. Roadranger does not guarantee that the website will operate without interruption at all times.
1.27 Intellectual Property in the Website
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Roadranger website, including branding, graphics, text, photographs, product descriptions, layouts, software and original material, is owned by or licensed to Colorcorp Pty Ltd. Website content may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without permission except where permitted by law.
1.28 Third-Party Links and Services
The website may link to third-party websites or use third-party services. Roadranger is not responsible for third-party content or services that it does not control, but this does not limit Roadranger's responsibility for services that Roadranger itself has agreed to supply to the customer.
1.29 Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotional offers may be subject to stated eligibility requirements, expiry dates, exclusions or usage limits. Unless expressly stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash. Any material restrictions applicable to a promotion will be disclosed with the promotion.
1.30 Events Outside Reasonable Control
Neither party will be responsible for delay or failure caused solely by circumstances outside that party's reasonable control to the extent permitted by law. Where such circumstances materially prevent Roadranger from supplying an order, Roadranger will communicate with the customer and provide any refund, cancellation right or other remedy required by law.
1.31 Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies liability, consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. To the extent permitted by law, Roadranger is not responsible for loss caused solely by incorrect customer-supplied measurements, customer-supplied artwork errors, misuse, unauthorised alteration, installation performed by an unrelated third party, or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not designed and which was not disclosed to Roadranger. This clause does not apply to the extent that loss was caused or contributed to by Roadranger or where applicable law provides otherwise.
1.32 Privacy
Personal information collected through the website is handled in accordance with the Roadranger Privacy Policy.
1.33 Changes to these Terms
Roadranger may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to an order are generally those in effect when the customer places that order, unless a change is required by law or the parties agree otherwise. The current version will be available on the Roadranger website and will display its effective or last-updated date.
1.34 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the courts having jurisdiction in Queensland, subject to any right a consumer or other person has under applicable law to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.
