4. PRIVACY POLICY
4.1 Introduction
Roadranger is operated by Colorcorp Pty Ltd ABN 31 631 230 405. Roadranger respects the privacy of customers, website visitors and other individuals whose personal information we handle. We manage personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles where applicable. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we may collect, how we collect and use it, when it may be disclosed, how it is protected and how individuals may contact us about their information.
4.2 Personal Information We May Collect
Depending on how a person interacts with Roadranger, we may collect information including name, business name, job title, delivery address, billing address, postal address, telephone number, email address, account details, order history, transaction information, customer service communications, product requirements, artwork and files submitted to us, marketing preferences, IP address, browser and device information, website usage information and cookie or similar technology information. Where payments are made online, payment information may be processed by Shopify or another payment provider. Roadranger does not generally need to retain complete payment-card details.
4.3 How We Collect Information
We may collect information when a person visits our website, places an order, creates an account, requests a quotation, submits artwork, contacts us, subscribes to marketing, completes a form, participates in a promotion, communicates with customer service, interacts with our website or otherwise deals with Roadranger. We may also receive information from service providers involved in operating the website, processing payments, fulfilling orders, delivering products, preventing fraud or providing analytics and marketing services.
4.4 Why We Collect and Use Personal Information
Roadranger may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for purposes including processing and fulfilling orders, producing customised products, providing proofs, processing payments, arranging freight, providing customer support, maintaining accounts, issuing invoices and records, responding to enquiries, dealing with returns or complaints, improving products and website functionality, maintaining website security, detecting fraud, maintaining legal and accounting records, complying with legal obligations, conducting analytics and, where permitted, providing marketing communications.
4.5 Artwork and Customer Files
Artwork, logos, photographs, documents and other files submitted as part of an order may contain personal or business information. Roadranger may retain these files for a reasonable period for order fulfilment, repeat orders, customer service, record keeping and dispute resolution. Customers should not provide unnecessary personal or sensitive information in artwork or files.
4.6 Shopify
Roadranger uses Shopify to operate its online store. Information provided through the Roadranger store may therefore be processed using Shopify's systems and infrastructure. Shopify and its service providers may process information in countries outside Australia.
4.7 Service Providers
Roadranger may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to providers including Shopify, payment processors, banks, freight and courier providers, technology and hosting providers, communications providers, analytics providers, marketing service providers, printers or production partners where required to fulfil an order, professional advisers, insurers and other contractors supporting our operations. We seek to limit information disclosed to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant function.
4.8 Overseas Disclosure and Processing
Some technology and ecommerce service providers operate internationally. Personal information may therefore be disclosed to or processed by recipients outside Australia. Countries may include Canada, Singapore, the United States and other countries in which Shopify or relevant technology providers and their service providers operate. The countries involved may change as service providers and infrastructure change. Where Australian privacy law applies to an overseas disclosure, Roadranger will take the steps required by that law.
4.9 Marketing Communications
Roadranger may send commercial electronic marketing communications where consent or another lawful basis exists. Marketing consent is separate from communications that are reasonably necessary to administer an order, account, enquiry or transaction. Marketing messages will provide an appropriate method of opting out where required. An individual can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe facility included with a message or by contacting Roadranger. We will process valid unsubscribe requests in accordance with applicable law.
4.10 Cookies and Similar Technologies
Roadranger and service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, keep shopping carts functioning, maintain security, understand website usage, measure performance and, where enabled and permitted, support advertising and marketing. More information is provided in the Roadranger Cookie Notice.
4.11 Security
Roadranger takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These measures may include technical, administrative and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information held. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
4.12 Data Breaches
Where Roadranger becomes aware of a suspected data breach, it will assess and respond to the incident in accordance with applicable law. Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies and a breach meets the legal notification threshold, Roadranger will make the notifications required by law.
4.13 Retention
Roadranger retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain business and transaction records, to support repeat orders where appropriate, to resolve disputes and to satisfy legal, taxation, accounting and regulatory obligations. Information that is no longer reasonably required will be destroyed or de-identified where required and reasonably practicable, subject to applicable legal requirements.
4.14 Access to Personal Information
Individuals may request access to personal information Roadranger holds about them. Roadranger may need to verify identity before providing information. Access will be provided subject to any lawful exception.
4.15 Correction
Individuals may ask Roadranger to correct personal information they believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Roadranger will take reasonable steps to consider and, where appropriate, make the requested correction.
4.16 Privacy Complaints
A person who believes Roadranger has mishandled their personal information may contact us. Please provide sufficient information for us to understand and investigate the concern.
